Description
Say It Back
Most couples aren’t actually bad at talking — they’re unpracticed at really hearing each other before responding with their own point. That’s a specific, learnable skill, and it rarely gets practiced anywhere except live, under pressure, mid-conflict.
Say It Back is a journal for couples who struggle to really hear each other, built around eight rounds of a real active-listening exercise: one of you speaks, the other reflects back what they heard, and the speaker confirms what landed.
This journal treats couples who struggle to really hear each other as needing practice, not just intention. Reflection and response are separated on purpose — you write back what you heard before reacting with your own opinion, the same skill therapists teach, done here on paper, at your own pace.
What It Helps With:
- A real, structured practice for couples who struggle to really hear each other, not just talk more
- Separating reflection from response — the actual skill underneath being a good listener
- Eight real rounds covering frustration, needs, pride, worry, boundaries, and hope
- Full write space per part, built for real writing, not quick check-boxes
This journal is for married couples who love each other and still regularly feel unheard by each other. Eight rounds won’t make you perfect listeners. But you’ll both know, on paper, that you can be heard — and that’s not nothing.
